Online cheating site AshleyMadison.com hacked. Hackers threaten to reveal full details of all site users unless site is permanently taken offline. submitted by setitimer to news

Oops, looks like all the cheaters just got busted. It was probably hacked by someone who got burned by a cheating spouse.

Sobriety Checkpoints - for or against - and why? submitted by ogref to AskVoat

In Texas they ask if they can draw your blood too get your alcohol level, and if you refuse they get a warrant to do it anyway. I'm not a drinker personally, but I find this to be intrusive and against my 5th. amendment right against self incrimination. Yeah, not a fan, no.

What I've read from Voat users is that it gives the community time to develop the best of the best parts of Voat unlike what the other site did, blah, blah blah.

I, myself, was not even aware of the site until the Twitter #RedditRevolt discussion started. The discussion fascinated me, though I was never a Reddit user.

The site is still considered Alpha for good reason, this and that feature not implemented yet, database not ready for prime time primo traffic, etc. So invite only is probably a good thing until code, database, features, etc are up to par for a prime site.

Is travelling to Greece in October 2015 a bad idea? submitted by joestcool to AskVoat

I would not travel to anywhere in Europe right now. Too much change of American tourists getting shot, killed, or kidnapped.

Any role played by Will Farrel or Paulie Shore.

A large percentage of slaves in America weren't black, but white. And slavery was all across the nation, it wasn't just in the south. Why are these facts so blatantly ignored? submitted by Renoco to AskVoat

The media is complicent in such twisting of the story to fit the narrative that they want to portray. If the facts are inconvenient then they'll leave them out. Remember how honest Brian Williams, formerly of NBC Nightly News, was?
