"If you did nothing wrong, you have nothing to hide" [Windows 10 rant] submitted by umilmi81 to technology

Interface 0 points 50 points (+50|-0) ago

"Over the last 16 months, as I've debated this issue around the world, every single time somebody has said to me, "I don't really worry about invasions of privacy because I don't have anything to hide." I always say the same thing to them. I get out a pen, I write down my email address. I say, "Here's my email address. What I want you to do when you get home is email me the passwords to all of your email accounts, not just the nice, respectable work one in your name, but all of them, because I want to be able to just troll through what it is you're doing online, read what I want to read and publish whatever I find interesting. After all, if you're not a bad person, if you're doing nothing wrong, you should have nothing to hide." Not a single person has taken me up on that offer."

http://www.howtogeek.com/188059/how-to-enable-click-to-play-plugins-in-every-web-browser/?PageSpeed=noscript

"Most web browsers load Flash and other plug-in content as soon as you open a web page. Enable “click-to-play” plug-ins and your browser will load a placeholder image instead — click it to actually download and view the content.

Click-to-play allows you to conserve download bandwidth, improve page load times, reduce CPU usage, and extend laptop battery life. This feature gained popularity with Flashblock for Firefox and is now built into modern browsers."

Win 7 Pro key is "Flagged." Microsoft won't help me. submitted by DeadlyAura to technology

->barefoot walk on the streets

->realising his covered in shit

->asking for a support

My advices :

step 1 : Uses socks, then shoes (analogy here is : Use a layered protection)

step 2 : learn how an OS is made of, you can do it

step 3 : found out that "to shell out MORE money for another OS" is not the only solution

step 4 : ???????? profits

step 5 : welcome to v/linux

Sorry for sounding rude but that's how I saw your thread. You should have not upgraded your system before multiples month with Service Packs updates have come. You should have stick to your OS for a while.

Now arguing over a call center is futile, they'll lead you to where you bought it, they dont wan't to solve your problem. So if you understand what I said, you should now come to the realisation that there is other OS out there, and the energy you throw at M$ and their call centers should be used elsewhere (building a new OS?).

I hope you understand that this is not an attack on YOU, I gave you solid advices.

"Ubuntu is the most ... most ... and also the most ..."

Got you.

You might need some research though, since it is not really the case. Someone's wont get paid this time for shilling w/o sources.
