The point is that it's hypocritical to say you give a shit about diversity and then to have no internal diversity.

Don't get me wrong, if you have a staff of all/mostly white people - or all black people, or all women, etc. - there's no issue. Hire whoever fits the job you need done, even if it doesn't cater to diversity. But don't have a homogeneous staff and whine about diversity at the same time. Either live by the rules you're trying to set down or don't set the rules down. Pick one.
