Here are the 950 PAL Playstation 2 Games I have so far! (Attempting to collect the entire Library..) submitted by Pshyched to gaming

It's not just games... It's stamps, coins, trading cards, shoes, or shirts, DVDs, books, posters, comics, toys... There are thousands of things to collect! The idea of having a complete slice of human history is fantastic, regardless of how important that slice is in the grand scheme of things. Owning the end product of every individuals contribution is actually quite amazing when you think of the hundreds of thousands of hours of effort you own, in just a few shelves.

Crash diets of any kind where food groups are eliminated completely. There are too many stupid diets out there on the market to target, but I think a special mention should go to the Atkins diet which is known to have killed several people.

You also have to consider things like homeopathy which don't do any direct harm in themselves, but have the ill effect of encouraging people to not seek real medical treatment. Same with many forms of spiritualism/religion. I myself am a Muslim and believe strongly in prayer, but I also believe that prayer doesn't have to result in miracle outcomes to every/any situation(s). The result from prayer (a personal opinion which I respect most of you will disagree with) may be the resolve to finally get around to seeing a doctor, or it may be even focussing on your problem long enough to realise just how big it's gotten. The amount of people who ignore common sense in the hope of miracles is one of the unhealthiest habits we face.

[humour] Wow, we've already take control of /r/Kotaku? Where next to conquer? [x-post reddit] submitted by mnemosyne-0000 to KotakuInAction

I don't know how subreddit/subvoat squatting is a good thing, or worth celebrating.

The whole point of subreddits/subvoats is for people to congregate to discuss topics that interest them. All you are doing is making it harder for people to talk with like minded people about a topic you personally dislike... Isn't that the whole reason you are moving away from Reddit?

Imgur never pretended it was a platform that didn't practice censorship. Corporations have the right to practice censorship on their domains/property. So do individuals in their own private space. These are rights just as important as freedom of speech itself. Imgur is not violating anyone's freedom of speech by refusing to host content they disagree with.

You are encouraging people to boycott any site that doesn't conform to your own personal views. Do you not have the slightest clue of just how hypocritical that is, or are you too caught up in internet activism for self reflection?

Windows 8 has a start button, it's just a start menu with a different GUI.

You don't agree with me. Why be a smart ass about it? The funny thing is is that you are actually pointing out a valid concern when it comes to the number of people injured or maimed due to the object, which completely defeats your wise crack.
