You have to understand that really, as far as I know, nobody has trusted Microsoft forever. I mean ever. From roots that were equated early on to "Evil Empire", to Anti-Trust (Heh, no pun intended) lawsuits in Europe. There is a reason that, around the time of Windows 95 protesters were throwing cream pies in BG's face when he stepped out of a limo.
Trust? Despite having been a basically life long user of Windows products, never once have I given them an actual ounce of "Trust". I have always told people that I am of the assumption I already have no secrets. Don't get me wrong, that doesn't mean I shouldn't strive to have them, or have a want for things to be more secret (Ie, I'm not a "I've got nothing to hide, so I'm okay with giving up my privacy." type) It just, it is what it is. From political protests to the things I've done online in my history. It's not surprising, and I'm sure I've been identified dozens of times when my guard was down. (Or just because I used MS products).
After rereading your post, the EU Stuff and the 95/pie in face to protest big evil corporations was likely before your time. But trust me, the feelings of MS being evil, have been there. They even made a totally bunk Fictional movie about a guy who paralleled Gates and a company that paralleled MS. The Jist was that Gates was using his OS to spy on the public, steal to their code, incorporate it into his OS then kill them. (It was a terrible movie but that is hardly the point I am trying to make here)
At any rate, resentment and fear of MS is deep rooted in a fair portion of our society. It's been there for quite some time and I think the truth of the matter is less about them changing what they have been doing for 25+ years, and more about them no longer giving a fuck when it comes to secrecy. "Here is what we have been doing all this time, we don't really care what you think anymore, fuck off" I mean that is a bit extreme but essentially, that is about right.
If you think companies like MS haven't been doing the bidding of the NSA, FBI and the like for a lot longer than your first computer in early 2000's.. Well, I guess you are just starting to wake up to the reality that has likely (Definitely) been there all along.

I feel like we have finally hit the point where Pride becomes a sad sad parody of itself. Pride might as well start folding in on itself. There is nothing left for even those involved to take seriously.
Pride has lost its own way. It has muddied its own message and it now actively participates in discrimination across many facets. It's really sad because what Pride has become is nothing what those protesting Stonewall would have ever imagined. The message at the heart of pride (their message) has been drown out by floats, alcohol, dance music and cheap thrills.
That must be it. Thrills have overtaken the message. It's just a show now.

I tell you they literally think like this
These are tumultuous times we are in right now. It is only a matter of time until all the dissidents have dispersed into Voat or some other corner of the Internet. If we can just survive until that time we will have nobody left who opposes the Utopian Internet we are trying to build her.e We just gotta hold out.
they think this is just growing pains until all they will be left is admins, SRS and soccer moms who think kitties are too cute to avoid and "don't see what all the big fuss is over censorship)

Top Photo: All the people Trump has vowed to keep out of America (Muslims, Mexicans)
Bottom Photo: All the people who want all the people in the top photo kept out of America
TL;DR When you hate on a group, don't be surprised when that group sides against you

I am afraid I am no apologist. It is clear you have missed the entire nature of my message. You also neglected to point out the other religions I have mentioned in which the same thing has occurred time and time again.
I forgot to metnion L. Ron (Elron? I still don't know) Hubbard. Founder of Scientology. Raped boys... Joseph Smith also took many child wives that he fathered children with. The list goes on... and on... and on..
I apologize for nobody. But I do call out bullshit posturing for shock factor when I see it

IDK how to suggest this without pissing people off.. So I guess I will start by saying there is nothing alright, okay, or acceptable with what the US did to this hospital.
That aside, One thing I noted from this article.
If you are in a war and you are trying to kill your enemy. Then you find out there is a hospital patching up your enemy and eventually getting them well off enough to go to back out and rejoin the front lines (Speculation that they are ever patched up and brought back to that level of health) You might feel like these people (Dr.'s) are working against your very agenda.
Again, not that anything above justifies anything that happened, then trying to blame it on the home governments requests.. That is cowardly and it is all wrong. But I would be frustrated to think that somebody is fixing up my enemies so I have to fight them again, or so they can live to fight me again.
From a Dr. perspective, the Hippocratic Oath means Dr.'s do not see sides. They don't see good, bad. They see injured and lives. It is their job to heal the wounded and are supposed to be able to do so indiscriminately without political backlash of any kind.
