Confederate flag supporters rise up to defend embattled symbol submitted by Amalek3 to news

Nice name.

I take it you are not from the south. That makes some sense. Do you give your zen the same amount of study that you would give a cultural issue that paints someone else as a villain? There are always two sides, but at the moment the internet and an imperial government is painting one as evil. I suppose I can trust your analysis, though, since you watched a video somewhere.

If you grow up anywhere but the south, you are taught that southerners are ignorant and racist. If you grow up in the south, you are made aware of a racist past, and you become much better at picking out hateful people. The irony is that if you then, as a southerner, go to another state, you notice that an overwhelming majority of people are hateful. You're using hate right now, and wielding the name of a famous religious man.

You lack cultural perspective, and you lack the ability to respect that perspective, or even recognize that it exists. I suspect that your definition of ignorance, as well, may be people that do not share your opinion.

If you would like to make the argument that Buddhism is not a religion, I'm not going to try to prove you wrong. Nor am I going to try and argue philosophy or humanism with someone who prefers to ignore salient points and attack their critics in lieu of conversation.

You called an entire group of people ignorant, and when I explain that such a view is shallow, you backtrack, pretend I said things I didn't, and call me ignorant. As I said you lack the ability to even perceive that another way of looking at the world might exist, and simultaneously act as if you are the enlightened one. You are hopeless.

The same new yorkers that scream about the south having a racism problem while NY police kill black kids in the street, under the guise of stop and frisk laws that let them target minorities. It's a city that is segregated by race, nationality and income, and ruled by literal force. The fact that there isn't blood in the gutters just means no one has stepped far enough out of line.
