I notice this all the time. People like to think we're so much more advanced than animals, but I say we're just slightly smarter than apes. Just smart enough that we learned a slightly more efficient way to pass knowledge down to future generations. Its pretty obvious when you zoom out and look at what humans are doing to each other and their environment and its even more obvious when you zoom in and observe someone suffering from something like road rage.

If anyone skeptical is looking for an anecdote, I was never in shape or healthy until I started smoking. I only get the munchies if I over do it. Smoking just makes me realize how awesome life is and makes me want to go do cool things. It made me realize I should take care of my body if I want to get the most out of life. I've found the couch-locked stoner to be a pretty inaccurate stereotype. The last thing I want to do now, stoned or sober, is sit on the couch and pig-out.

A federal judge struck down Idaho's ban on undercover videos at factory farms Monday, saying state legislators wrongly criminalized free speech to protect powerful agricultural groups. submitted by cynoclast to news

Yeah but when they come to our farm, they're never looking for abuse. They don't even care about the animals. They're only concerned about the cleanliness of the equipment that touches the milk and the overall cleanliness of the milking parlor and milkhouse. So even surprise visits wouldn't help. There's not many laws that protect animals meant for food.

Milk without the moo | Hoards Dairyman submitted by GetOnMyLevel to Futurology

They may taste good to you and a lot of other people, especially when you're just adding it to something, but all those products have a long way to go to mimic the exact taste, texture of a glass of milk by itself. It might taste good, but not a direct replacement for real milk. Muufri wouldn't be mimicking milk, for all practical purposes, it would be milk.

No. I'm a dairy farmer. I saw the article in Hoards Dairyman and thought it was cool what they're doing.
