Wow - talk about deja vu. I could swear almost this exact same thing happened on this date last year. I think there was even an article exactly like this... on almost this date last year.
Not this year, mind you - but last year.

The lynchpin (sorry) of the problem in this country is the ban on any kind of discussion about crime that involves skin color. The problems you describe are about blacks for the same reason folks oppose racism - because gangs are going to admit based on skin color. It's effectively tribalism - and trying to use that term in discussions about gang violence will also get you fired from your job.
Trying to address gang problems like the one above without being able to mention skin color is like like playing tennis with one hand stapled behind your back.
You would think that people who are ostensibly intelligent would understand that it's possible to discuss the implications of skin color and racism without it meaning the discussion is about all people of that race. For example, I can talk about rednecks being southern low-income white people without anyone thinking I'm trying to say all white people are rednecks.

Anyone who downvoats this - post a reply and let me know if you've read any of The Old New Thing. I'm also interested in your programming background.
You're an idiot.
Windows runs on virtually every PC on the planet, in every country and almost every language. It's secure, flexible, and can run most software written for Windows over the past twenty years.
When's the last time you had a system crash on windows? How much stuff is it running from how many vendors right now?
I could go on for ages.
Microsoft has serious (threat to the company level) problems, but it's not "everything they make is garbage and breaks"

Go over and ask the folks who assert that you must have a government-issued ID to vote. They seem pretty upbeat on the whole idea.

Fuck - half the reason many mass shooters do it is the vision of their name in lights. The shooter's name should NEVER be mentioned, and if I had my way they would only be described as "a deranged impotent loser whose family were too stupid to see the signs that he was a homicidal retard. He also had a very small penis."
Because if it makes just ONE idiot think "fuck - no way do I want that written about me - I'll just swallow a bottle of sleeping pills instead" it's a good thing.
