I'm not sure, but demodding mods that change the rules to restrict speech along with immense user outrage is grounds enough and should be the norm. Instead of modding people that request a subverse first, admins should mod people the community comments in support of for the position. Had they done that with v/nig in the past, that prick would never have been modded in the first place. But an accusation of purchased account on its own is really hard to verify, so maybe setting out other factors like 'changing the meaning of the sub' and 'community dissent' and 'excessive banning' and 'restrictive rules' would be a better way? I don't know. But that asshole should be removed by the admins immediately, and a user who has contributed there for a long time and cares about the community should replace him.

At work, you can't lose your shit over partisan issues because it's not professional. Maybe what is professional has changed now. Your boss doing this is even more egregious. This year professors have openly belittled half the country during class and called for genocide yet not gotten fired. Maybe the rules have changed. People deserve a reality check

The deletions are not for suspected sock-puppet upvote posts-they are for rule violations. When you have active members commenting in the threads and it has 100s of upvotes, why delete it? Sock-puppet accounts will be an issue in every system sub as well-but community handles it. You're right, though, I shouldn't have commented here today.

He also publicly advocated against gay marriage, but moved out of his marital home to live with his gay friend and his gay friend's partner... there's nothing wrong with that, of course, but it does make him seem like a bit of *a hypocrite.

It's a fact that sticky post has very few upvotes. You pmed it to me, and yes I read it. It's also a fact that posts with hundreds of upvotes get deleted. But what the fuck ever. Still, why be such an asshole over one comment? Jesus.
