I don't see Reddit collapsing as much as just changing to cater to a different group of people. Just a shift in the usual circlejerk.

Only if some huge scandal that interrupts the casual user's content happens will Reddit fall. Or at least in my opinion.

IMO it's going to be interesting how voat finds the balance between curbing spammers and still allowing complete free speech. I think that it will have a huge role in determining what path this website takes.

Reddit started out with shadowbanning and we've seen where that's gone, hopefully voat can find the right balance.

It'll be interesting to see how they handle spammers (check out /v/news -> new right now). How do you help keep spammers and trolls at bay in a way that isn't considered censorship?

Reddit when you're not signed in already hides NSFW 18+ content by default so I don't see how the new system any different from the old
