Would Voat love to have Victoria as mod? submitted by roznak to AskVoat

We should do a kickstarter to hire Victoria to run IAMAs on Voat. Shes got all the good contacts and seriously having a q&a with people like Obama is the best advertising a site could want.

Edit: although more traffic is the last thing Voat needs at the moment

She wasn't really a Mod though. She was a high level PR employee. I'm sure she was well paid for her work. Liasing with politicians and celebrities isn't a skill the average moderator has

Uber vs Cabbs/Taxis what do you guys think ? submitted by Kalivm to AskVoat

I can't speak for UK. But here in Aus to claim that the using a taxi is supporting the local economy just doesn't hold up. Taxi plates are bought and traded by wealthy investors and not always Aus investors. It's common for one person/corp to own 20/50/100+ taxi plates. As far as im concerned if my money goes to Uber or Rich investor it doesn't matter. end result is same.

That just leaves the choice down to the service and Uber wins hands down. Taxi's where I am are horrible. Wait times of an hour if you book. $50 for a small ride into the nightlife area. unclean cars, long routes, etc

On the other hand Uber I select my destination on my phone, 5 mins wait time tops. I've always had nice clean cars, nice sociable drivers and no bullshit because the journey is already in the drivers gps. Then the fair comes down to $15.

Theres a royal commision going on in Australia at the moment looking into historic abuse. They keep on finding more and more pedophiles as they collect and go through evidence. Currently they are investigating a Catholic boys boarding school and turns out every single priest was in on it. Including...

I would get a sweet boat and go and see every creature in the ocean. Strolling around at the bottom of the marina trench will be excellent.

If you had to eat a particular meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be? submitted by id to AskVoat

Eggs on toast. I eat it every morning now so might as well make it 3 times a day
