Playing Tetris Could Help Prevent Traumatic Memories From Forming, Study Suggests submitted by savageslav to gaming

This logic could probably apply to many different games, though anecdotally Tetris is certainly therapeutic.

The music, sound effects, and rote gameplay lend the game a unique ability to really get stuck in your head. To this day there will be nights where after having played the game I won't be able to fall asleep for an hour or so, due to not being able to get my mind to stop imagining playing Tetris - But it is far better than the typical thought-spiral of day-to-day minutiae.

Recommendation for Nintendo Emulators for Zelda submitted by shinybedpan to zelda

  • NES - jNES 1.1.1
  • SNES - SNES9x 1.53
  • N64 - Project 64

Until we get an all-inclusive app like OpenEMU for Mac, we're stuck mashing up multiple emulators separately. There is a nice frontend in the works for PC users called Snowflake, but it hasn't been released yet. There is also a frontend project for RetroArch called Phoenix, but it also hasn't been released yet.

Edit: Removed direct emulator download links.

Sorry. This was on my "all" page and I'm subscribed to the emulation subverse. I had assumed this post was from there.

Feel free to remove my comment. Rules are rules and I can respect that. Also, emulation =/= piracy.
