Night theme, and smooth mobile website.

I have blocked v/news because of the overwhelming lack of understanding of the nuances in the relationships to crime, and with correlation being edited out to imply causation. I have seen the numbers grabbed from the states, where worldwide the strongest relationship to crime is poverty.
There was an explicit tone shift site wide when coontown was banned on reddit. The problem is that other link aggregator sites are as much of a huge box as reddit.

Okay, just for the sake of clarity, what is the actual infraction? I have the user agreement up in another window, and either I am blind/stupid, or it is not codified officially. I mean, it is certainly against the spirit of the site as I understand it, where how you can upvote/downvote is coded into equations based on past behaviour. Edit: spelling mistake.

Sitewide rules state no spam. I consider both amalek and pv shitposting brigades spam, let alone half of the climate "debate" that happens. Unless you take a stance that is "fuck the actual user agreement and role of moderation, only cp will be removed", it will go too far for part of the site, and people will be upset.
This site is broken by design. Moderation is built in, and so is system defaults, and administration standards on how moderation is handled. Would have been great to have the public modlogs, and competing subs like askvoat/askgoat both hit v/all, with users choosing themselves where to contribute. But no, cannot have v/sciences, v/goatscience, or any equivalent to r/trees-r/marijauna pop up, that would require people to post content on the regular. Especially as defaults are already propped up by the system, aka admin, approval.
Good luck. At this point, voat just isn't a good source for peer reviewed science publications/news. Too many folks with an agenda to push, at least the papers I can see the institutions involved/critiques from other folks literally working in the field.
Then again, I am just a lurker, whose voice is equal to that of a random pv poster. I would love to see no videos/only primary sources, but that doesn't permit science in public perception or education. Honestly, if there is a subverse that is heavily moderated to only allow the actual, original publications, someone let me know. I would happily take my lurking to a smaller subverse.

Because system subs are not the only "publicly-owned" subs. And appropriate moderation has its place.
I am legimately curious on your thoughts on the relatively quiet subs that MG mods.

As a rules lawyer, it is still shit. As opposed to "be nice" as a rule, it is "try to be nice"'as a rule. Still asking to be abused by you, others in the future, or a way to test boundaries.
