Go for a memorial type ride in his memory

And then start looking for a few riding buddies for the future. Post fliers, ask the question online, however you chose - I think you’ll be surprised at how many people will be interested. Most will probably flake, but you’ll end up finding a few to join you.
Makes the world a better place, and get a few new friends out of it

Best of luck buddy

To remove or not to remove the confederate flag submitted by xzased to AskVoat

Agree. It should never have been flown at government buildings as it is a flag of treason.

Banning sales of it though is ridiculous, as is removing it from cemeteries and memorials. Let the men rest under a flag they fought and died for.

I started preparing my tax filing for 2017. Last year was a good year, I got lucky on a few things. So, when my first calculation was that I'd owe about $3k in additional tax beyond withholdings I was OK with that.
But that means I am paying almost $56k in income tax (state and federal). Fifty six fucking thousand dollars from my pocket to uncle Sam.
That's not counting sales tax and property tax

I'm lucky to be in the position to make the money to pay that much tax. I sure as heck don't have to be happy with the government wasting that much of my money though.

[Monsanto] Between 1933 and 1999, Fort McClellan was constantly exposed to major biochemical health hazards, including ionizing radiation and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). submitted by New_years_day to politics

Sad story, but not specific to Monsanto. There were/are many toxic dumping points around the world.

Should be able to study the records of the people in the nearby town to see what any health impacts would be

Maybe I should have said "not unique to Monsanto"

I'm not defending Monsanto here, only pointing out that this should not turn into a Monsanto hate thread. It is bad when any company does it - Monsanto, Exxon Mobile, etc - every single time. My comment was in reference to the multitude of other toxic spills/dumps that happened through the last 5+ decades around the world.

Dont be an idiot. They're in France already.

The people who really need help aren't those who had enough cash to pay smugglers to get thtm into Europe. If you really want to help people, you give them some resources to help rebuild their home country.
