The only questions I have asked and have never once had answered are the following:
How will taxing me further stop the climate from changing?
What guarantee do I have that the climate will never change?
Exactly what dollar amount stops this?
That's all. Maybe I'll get lucky this time.

I'm calling bullshit. I can't think of even two people who would lay down their lives for her. Doubt I could even find one that would actually take money to do it without feeling the need to shower four times per day.
Why do people not like the new Ghostbusters trailers? submitted by IndigoElectric to ELI5

Honestly, I couldn't tell you. Personally, I loved the movies. I watched the cartoon as a kid even through it's many stylized changes and the discussions between Egon being blond-haired with that stupid tube-shaped hairdo were very few and far between. My friends and I even talked about the differences in uniform color from the movies to the cartoon. Though the cartoon explained it away, the movies never once followed suit. No big deal to us.
Personally, I'm going to see it (fuck the downvoats for that) and, as I've stated before, if it sucks I'll never watch it again.
Bottom line, it's movies. Hey, look, the most political the original Ghostbusters ever got was when Venkman tried to convince the fictional mayor of NYC that he'd be saving the lives of his registered voters. Then again, unless they're slapping Hillary, Trump or Sanders bumper stickers on the Ecto-1, I don't see the political statement this movie's trying to make.
Just take this approach. If you're going to a movie, just go in expecting to see a good movie, you know something worth whatever the cost of admission is. If the story sucks, the acting is bad and the direction is shit, okay then it was a shit movie, remake or not. If you walk away and you liked it, then fuck anyone else's opinion, you liked it. If you and I saw the same movie and I despised it while you loved the hell out of it, that's fine.
Best theory and TL;DR version: It's the internet and everyone is a self-important movie critic.

There are some problems I have with the Satanic Ritual Abuse story. First, it's been debunked as a lot of people seeking attention that got it and got it easily during the late 80s and early 90s when this was a huge moral panic in this country. I mean listen to her. "I've blocked out most of it with my Multiple Personality Disorder." While, yes, DID does kinda have that effect, it also has another one for people to conveniently say they've repressed memories. The second thing is that the stories are so intricate in a lot of one-on-one settings like books that supposedly "tell all" that another convenience takes place, a narrative that fills in the blanks with regressive hypnosis. Many times, this hypnosis is the hypnotist leading the person that was put under. Nice.
The whole thing got it's start from Mike Warnke's book The Satan Seller which turned out to be a hoax and then Michelle Remembers by Michelle Smith...also a hoax.
Also, let's really think about this for a second. Let's assume that some women are kept specifically for breeding. Then these women have to be kept secret and they also have to be cared for through the pregnancy. The baby is born and then "sacrificed" or killed to honor some demonic entity.
Okay. Where are the bodies? Why is it that not one single solitary shred of evidence has ever turned up? Ever. Save for these people and their fifteen minutes of shame on Oprah or whatever trashy daytime TV talk show they may inhabit, that's all we have. And, hey, I get it, these stories are so fucking horrible why would you ever question them?
Sounds kinda familiar actually. I mean I remember being told to look under my bed for...what was it? Terrorists? Racists? School Shooters? I mean it seems like there's a Flavor of The Week to this shit.
