Why do people still think Western universities have value when have fully embraced cultural marxism, the destruction of the west, and admit students based on racial/gender quotas? submitted by Justaddcoffee to AskVoat

A growing number of employers that I know through my father already refuse to hire anyone from the so called 'ivy leagues' because they feel as if they

1) don't actually know what they're doing,

2) probably only made it in due to a racial quota,

3) are going to cause problems because they're almost definitely a SJW

I control the hiring for my father's business and I follow this exact mantra as well as search all of their social media accounts. I remember one gay who instead of putting the actual important info that we care about at the top of their résumé put in massive font that they write for a famous SJW site which I won't elaborate on for my safety. (the position had nothing to do with writing or 'journalism'). I go and look up his articles and it's all talking about white 'privledge,' socialism, and how LGBTABCD+ whatever are discriminated against in the workplace.

Also he had worked VERY short periods of time none of which exceeded 3 months at other places including one where he was gone in only two weeks. This is a position where other employees have filled it for several decades.

The guy who killed him was serving a 6 year sentence, now I wonder how long he's going to serve. It's a real shame because I figure he should be commended for what he did.

You can eat your meat however you want. But to order a quality steak and have it made well done defeats the purpose of ordering a quality steak, when you cook it to that degree any difference in flavor between that and any regular steak is now essentially gone. And to lather such a good steak in a classy restaraunt with ketchup that you brought in? That's not me being pretentious that's the perpetrator being not only rude to the chief but also very uncultured.

You don't walk around naked. You don't wear a t shirt to a funeral or job interview, and you certainly don't go to any high end eating establishment and sneak in your own condiments.

Of course the quality of the meat is important and can be tasted regardless of how you choose to cook it. Low quality meat vs high quality meat, the high quality one will always taste better.

But when you order a specific cut, the flavor that differentiates that cut from the other cuts of the cow dissipates drastically the more you cook it. By the time it's 'well done' the kind of cut you got might as well be meaningless because you won't be able to tell the difference in flavor from one cut of that cow to another part of the same exact cow.

That's not me being a snob, it's just how it goes. There is no point in ordering the more expensive cut of a cow if you're just going to make it well done, the complexity is gone. Nobody goes around ordering a well done tenderloin, you don't have to order rare if you absolutely despise the texture of the rarer forms but don't go above medium for a nice cut or else you might as well be eating a hamburger. That's something that fats don't understand, they just scarf everything down without appreciating what they're eating. I'm not accusing you of being one mind you. I respect your taste palette as everyone has a different one, but don't bother getting a nice cut well done because you're just throwing away your money. If you're just getting a plain cut then go as cooked as you want, that's up to you.
