As a Canadian who drives in significant snow/ice at least 4 months a year, I'm going to suggest that snow tires are a better investment than AWD. They'll give you better acceleration than AWD, and better braking and handing (since AWD actually slightly reduces your braking/handling abilities). Remember that no matter what you buy it will have 4 wheel brakes and 2 wheel steering - giving all 4 wheels better traction is key to winter driving.

That and AWD will add 10% to your fuel bill.

What can be done to help improve the world of gaming? submitted by spike11117 to gaming

A blanket, government-enforced ban on DRM.

Consumers actually checking reviews to see if a game is functional before buying instead of blindly pre-ordering months in advance.

Devs focusing on making better gameplay instead of better graphics.

If you're in line for a turning light that you know is short and there's a lineup behind you, your fellow drivers will appreciate you giving it a bit more gas than you normally would.

Also, if you're a pedestrian, LOOK BOTH WAYS! There could be someone turning who doesn't see you due to distraction or a blind spot or incompetence or whatever. Better to wait a few seconds than die.

Not a Chevy problem, at your mileage it's a "everything's almost worn-out" problem.

If you're the type to do your own car maintenance, I'd recommend taking apart everything from the air filter on down into in intake, as far as you feel comfortable with, and cleaning those parts. There could be quite a bit of gunk buildup after that many miles, which could be playing a part here.

As far as the actual cause of the problem, quite possibly a valve or sensor somewhere between the air filter and the intake ports of the engine. Could be an oxygen sensor, MAF sensor, idle air control valve, or even the throttle itself. For whatever reason the engine's getting bursts of additional air that it shouldn't be, which is causing it to surge up like that.

I used to love Zero Punctuation, but does anyone else feel like it's gotten kinda stale after the first couple of years?
