They're obviously not starving where they came from.

Tl;DW: Praying is illegal in certain Royal parks in England. Muslims do it anyway. Woman asks why. Polis says "because ((someone)) said they could". Police show up at woman's house to arrest her next morning; threaten to force open door.

Publix is Already Facing MAJOR Financial Backlash After Caving to Hogg submitted by yurisrevenge to news

AutisticMemeocracy 0 points 27 points (+27|-0) ago

I doubt they're facing major backlash outside social media, but the key here is:

"Publix spokesman Dwaine Steven told the Orlando Sentinel on Friday his employer never meant to upset its customer base with its political donations — which crossed party lines — so Publix executives decided to stop all political donations."

"...decided to stop all political donations"

How is this not a good thing? Shouldn't we be praising Publix for for backing out of a fight they need not have been involved with?

A news aggregator that links to left, center, and right leaning sources for each article. Thought you guys might like this. submitted by HomerChimpson to whatever

I agree on NPR being slightly left, but they'll claim that they do enough unbiased news that their biased radio shows are acceptable.

Same with BBC. They're largely center for many news articles, but they've been playing with leaning left a bit more and more over the last couple years. I've noticed that, especially since the shift from BBC.co.uk to BBC.com, they've focused much more on American news on the front page and had opinion articles (or "Your Story"s) near the front as well.

CNN has been trash partly because they gave up actual reporting and individual reports (where they actually have an author at the top) in favor of collective opinion editorials plastered all over the front.

It's kind of sad that BBC is heading the same way. I was hoping their news arm could resist the leftist wave from the regular BBC offices but I guess that was a foolish hope. I still think they're one of the best "mainstream" or """real""" news sources though. We'll see for how long.

Trump says Amazons post office scam must end submitted by rishvi to politics

Of course the public pays more, but Amazon secures the deals by providing volume. The Sunday delivery isn't brand new, but I bet neither is the "loss" experienced. After the sunday delivery deal, many weekday packages also shifted from UPS to USPS. But I'm curious if USPS didn't plan for the added overhead of massive package transportation versus their main focus, letters, to handle the load. Just look at the expedited LLV replacement. It was on the schedule to do but the new wave of Internet package delivery forced an issue put off for years.

With all the laws Oregon has (and is pushing to have) they have no bag limit on these things? No off-limit counties? Seems like step one right there.
