If any sub gains over 5k users, institute a moderator voting process to deter collusion between agenda driven moderators submitted by gatordontplaythatsht to ideasforvoat

The community wouldn't exist without the creator. You make it sound like creating a sub (/v/NicheTopicHere) instantly gets subscribers. Obviously that's not true. It takes hard work and dedication to build up the sub.

Wouldn't this deter moderators from building up their subverses then? Like lets say I moderate /v/AntiMatter and spend hours of my week in order to bring it from 0 subscribers to 5,000. Why should a moderator put in all that hard work only to be offed in an election?

Why should your status on Reddit matter? This is Voat not Reddit.

Why are so many people complaining about the voting system? Many of the users here like the minimum requirements to downvoat. It prevents brigading and actually forces the user to contribute to Voat instead of just lurking and downvoating away.

You mean having the required CCP being separate to each individual subverse? That'd make /v/All a bit hard to vote on.

Three per day is a bit too little but I do agree that something has to be done about it. They can add a limit as you've stated (just not 3, maybe 20?) and raise the requirements to downvoat.

I suppose that's something Atko or one of the other admins need to deal with then. If they let one person pass it'd create a huge argument of "Oh! but this guy was allowed to make more!".
