Donald Trump: Jeb Bush is a puppet, I've turned down millions because I don't want to feel obligated to lobbyists submitted by erowidtrance to news

Why are we celebrating the fact that this man is rich? Just because he is rich does not mean he is above being influenced by others. It is absurd to suggest that just because someone is rich that they are a more moral individual. The entire premise rests on people accepting that exceedingly rich people are better able at decision making and moral calculus.

Of all the things that Reddit mods have ever done, and maybe will ever do, the act of using Mr. Rogers' name in such a terrible fashion is unacceptable. I know I am more of a traditionalist than the majority of Reddit and Voat users, but the name of somebody who had such a profound positive influence on so many should be above an personal beneficial use. A great man held that name, and the name and legacy should be protected and respected.

So has Voat become more negative in the past week or is it just me? submitted by middle_path to AskVoat

Why haven't the Democratic party held any presidential debates? submitted by ToFat2Fish to politics

What? I am sorry but there is no chance of Trump willing the Republican nomination let alone the presidency. Trump only works when elect-ability is not a central voting decision for primary voters. I expect Trump won't be the top after autumn let alone the winter. Keeping a large group of people very angry over a long period of time is very hard. Trump simply lacks the proper charisma to do it.

30-Year Trial Finds Organic Farming Outperforms Conventional Agriculture: more resilient, higher yielding, more energy efficient submitted by HenryCorp to science

The reason that Monsanto has about 30% of the GM seed market cornered is because they are one of the few only companies big enough to sufficiently recover from attacks by radicals. Many testing fields are salted and pulled by radicals and everyone hates Monsanto but cannot tell a full reason why. It is always, "they patient DNA' or 'they sue farmers,' but no one can ever really say what that means. Uninformed opinions seems to trump any amount of information so long as your have a strong opinion about the counter.
