Milo bends over the feminist pay gap myth in front of two women submitted by RumbledFeathers to videos

Exactly. A lot of the points the females bring up are a long the lines of: "well what do you mean women aren't paid less? We've been told women have been paid less for the past 30 years so it must certainly be true today." If you look at the data there is clear evidence that equal pay for equal work has been achieved. At the end of the day, most employers don't give a crap about discrimination. All they care about is getting the best value for their dollar and maximizing profits.

The guy also brings up many good points. From what I've seen a lot of the "pay discrimination" studies are pretty faulty. For example, they take net annual pay and compare it to men. Then they point to the difference as pay discrimination but the studies fail to show/explain why that difference exists. At a fundamental level, the difference exists because society encourages men to make sacrifices for the family (bring home more bacon) while society encourages women to sacrifice work life for personal life (taking care of children).

Man who shot DEA agent during a surprise pre-dawn drug raid outside his home sentenced to 8 years in prison. No drugs were found in [...] house. submitted by saprian to news

Not to mention that a new tactic used by burglars is to shout "police" or to wear police uniforms to invade the home. Society has trained everyone to just comply with anyone who appears to be a police officer....

Opternatives Online Eye Exam Gets You A Glasses Prescription From Home submitted by allenlee to technology

Yeah, that's why you get dental insurance. The insurance company will set a rate and use its massive amount of members to make dentists charge reasonable prices. I have cheap dental insurance (around $20/month) and the first few fillings per visit are completely free.

I tried the demo and I really like it but the pricing is just too much if you ask me. I think a better price would be in the $10-20 range and en even better deal would be to give the exams away for free and then make money selling the glasses. If the price was $20 just for the eye exam, I would definitely do it.

This company has a good product but poor pricing model.

When I'm done with the computer I turn it off and then when I use it again, I turn it back on....seems like I'm the only one who does this lol.

I figure I'm saving electricity, cpus and memories or something.
