Saying "you're either with us or against us" when I'm actually remaining neutral is the single fastest way to get me to oppose you., submitted: 1/9/2016 11:26:53 PM, 219 points (+226|-7)
As a gay man, I'm getting pretty fucking tired of being expected to go along with the SJW tsunami of censorship. No, you don't fucking own me because I happen to belong to some "marginalized" class., submitted: 8/11/2015 10:01:29 PM, 190 points (+197|-7)
I get in a lot more arguments on voat than I did on reddit, but most of the time the other people have good points or are at least not assholes about disagreeing with me., submitted: 12/8/2015 1:54:26 AM, 156 points (+163|-7)
While Googling a different problem I'm having, I discovered that Windows 10 apparently refuses to show samba shares in the "network" window. Goddamn it, Microsoft., submitted: 5/1/2016 8:48:21 PM, 68 points (+69|-1)

The one time a gunman was reported on campus was a false alarm that still locked the school down for half a day, but today I was woken up by yet another report of some assault or robbery on campus., submitted: 9/17/2015 2:56:56 PM, 1 points (+1|-0)

It might not be an error per se. It's more like a heartbeat/keepalive signal saying "Hang on, there's more coming, don't close the connection yet."

Thanks for not using "liberal" and "conservative."
Liberals just want to make sure everybody can be as free as possible, and conservatives just want their society to change slowly and in a stable way rather than in the revolutions that liberals tend to want.
The Democratic and Republican parties are just parties, not ideologies, and it's starting to really piss me off when people paint all liberals as SJW whiners and all conservatives as reactionary religious nuts.

I really shouldn't stick my nose into this, but you are absolutely correct, up until the person in question asks you politely to refer to them as a particular gender.
Any transgender person who isn't a raging asshole will accept a few innocent mistakes if you're trying. And if they are a raging asshole, they don't deserve that kind of respect so fuck 'em.

The scare quotes are fucking ridiculous. Plenty of people have bizarre, risky, or downright abhorrent rituals, but dehumanizing them because of it is far more dangerous.

Herpes doesn't lead to race war.
Insult them, sure. Go knock yourself the fuck out. But to imply that it is inhumanity that causes evil, and not humanity, is a grave error.

Suppose you applied for the job you always wanted, and you got the reply back from the employer that you absolutely have the job - but because of human resources policy, they can't hire any more men and if you accept the job offer, you're also volunteering for gender reassignment so they can hire you as a woman.
That's fine, right? Since it's so fluid, as you say, it shouldn't be an issue for you to switch just for the sake of getting a job.
