In his manifesto he left behind a lot of ramblings. He apparently had problems with people his entire life and in every place he worked. If you're constantly fighting with everyone you encounter, if constantly you believe that you are the subject of harassment and ridicule everyday then it is unlikely that the problem is with everyone else in the world and instead with yourself. Like the old saying goes, "If you wake up in the morning and encounter an asshole, you encountered an asshole. However if at the end of the day you recall encountering only assholes all day... you're the asshole."

This guy (obviously) had a screw loose. He idolized past shooters as per his manifesto and commented on their 'scores'. The media will give him the same attention they gave past mass shooters, weeks of coverage, only to inspire yet another loony person to do something similar.

This isn't a black, white, straight, gay, whatever thing. It's not even a gun thing. It's a mental illness thing. Some people are unable to cope with the reality of the world around them and feel like a perpetual victim and are unable to realize that the issues they face day to day are within themselves. The guy should have sought treatment or spoke to a mental health professional, or at the very least, if he felt his time on this earth was worth ending, he should have just offed himself without harming innocent people.

Reddit has a fit about "All Lives matter" march, brands it 'racist' submitted by dildonkers to MeanwhileOnReddit

I think they're just upset that the All Lives Matter crowd was MASSIVE. 20,000 people. Not only was it massive, it was organized, safe and well funded.

I've not seen a BLM crowd that large, that organized or that well funded. And it's not that they can't get funding. Plenty of extremely wealthy African Americans, whether they be religious / political leaders, sports stars, or entertainment celebrities could easily fund similar things.

Reddit is comical in many ways. If you say 'but, all lives DO matter' then they respond with, "Found the stormfront shill" because apparently believing that all lives, including innocent black lives (But not Mike Brown, fuck him) matter is somehow 'racist'.

Besides, I'm pretty sure Martin Luther King would want an 'all lives matter' protest and would be happy to partake in it if he were alive today.

See, that's the thing. I'm not sure. I'm a gun owner, and hell, I even went to the shooting range this morning. (Had my bags packed and trip planned last night). I lawfully carry a gun each day, I go to the range quite often, and I consider myself a 2nd amendment advocate.

Here is the kicker. The gun control groups want tighter regulations. Back ground checks, magazine capacity limits, 'assault weapons bans', etc. Let's take a look at today's shooting. The shooter passed a background check. He bought his gun legally. Most states with magazine capacity limits limit them to ten rounds. The shooter fired eight shots. He didn't have a scary 'assault rifle', instead he used a Glock 19 pistol. I carry a Glock 19, my local police department carries Glock 19's. It's a very popular handgun with police and just regular people in general. None of the proposed restrictions that the gun control groups push for would have prevented this.

As far as mental health goes, how do we test? My fear would be it being a Q&A type test. "Do you ever feel sad?" "Do you sometimes get angry?" that sort of stuff. Of course I get sad sometimes. Of course I get angry sometimes. That doesn't mean I don't have the mental capacity to, y'know, NOT kill people or myself over trivial bullshit. It will not surprise me when we learn that the shooter was on prescription drugs just as Lanza, Roof, Holmes and others were. But even then, should being prescribed anti-depprassants disqualify you from owning a firearm? I don't know. I don't even have Advil or Tylenol in my house, and I think the only pills I have is some anti-diahreah stuff in a first-aid kit.

So, TLDR: I don't know.

Wasn't the first debate for the least popular candidates? The candidates people have heard of are debating live on TV now.
