50 Cent files for bankruptcy submitted by imp to news

mburke1124 0 points 40 points (+40|-0) ago

He more than likely declared bankruptcy to shield his assists. Don't think for a second he has no money. He was just signed as a spokesman for an underwear company for $76m, not to mention the $100m he made from Vitamin Water. He just doesn't want to pay. Rich people have all sorts of loop holes to hold on to their money.

NYSE halts trading submitted by falkensMaze to news

Lets all take our foil hats off and think rationally. These thing can all be explained. Greece borrowed well beyond their means after entry into the Eurozone and doesn't want to pay it back; any one who has watched China's stock market over the last few years could see a bubble forming and it was predicted to pop, United Airlines being down (from what I understand from a friend at Oracle) is that they had a database system error United has said it was router issue (from user FriendsWithPools), and this appears to just be a down network issue.

Actors reportedly paid $50 a pop to cheer at Donald Trump's presidential campaign announcement submitted by Entitilitus to news

His companies file for bankruptcy all the time. I wouldn't call that being extremely good with money. And the only reason he has the money to start new ventures is because of the high value properties he can leverage, all of which were given to him by his father.

Not to mention that his views on almost every issue are completely bat shit crazy.

Tennessee woman jailed for neglecting lawn submitted by FreeSpeachRocks to news

mburke1124 1 points -1 points (+0|-1) ago

Lol okay. Keep telling yourself that I'm absurd for saying your opinion is wrong.

It is absurd for you to tell someone their opinion is wrong. It is not absurd to disagree with someones opinion.

and if you think a woman deserves jail time for not mowing her yard

I never said that. Her community thinks that. And I think the community has a right to set their own laws. When you live in close proximity to others you have have responsibilities to your neighbors. Say she set up speakers on her property and blasted music all night, is that ok in your opinion? It is on her property, same as the grass and weeds that are over a foot tall.

If you can't see that EVEN CITY GOVERNMENT doesn't always serve the interests of the majority of their constituents

It does serve the majority. This is the only case in that city where someone refuses to comply. If this wasn't in most people's interest more people wouldn't be in compliance. And more people would be working to enact change through voting. The community likes these laws. If they didn't they would vote people in who would change the laws, or they would protest like this woman is doing by not mowing her lawn.

I'm not even going to pretend to know what a 4th stage moralist is. Sounds like a tumbler word.
