so Windows 10 has become under fire for spying on users...logging keystrokes... saving information and keeping it. Now Microsoft will have my banking info, even more of my spending habits.... credit scores.... etc.

Fuck this...This is probably why they made this free. So businesses who were still running XP could feel like they could upgrade finally without spending a TON of money... And Microsoft gets everyone's personal information to do whatever they want with it.

Edit. Guess it isn't free.. but my point still stands

redditor of 9+ years : "This is a Reddit terrified of public opinion, terrified of losing a sponser. And basically completely chicken shit when it comes to free speech." submitted by go1dfish to MeanwhileOnReddit

I honestly see Voat going down the same path, eventually. As Voat grows, it'll attract the same attention as Reddit did when it boomed. Now, I'm sure this website has every intention of being what it is now, but a lot can change when a nice paycheck is being waved in front of your face. Lets be honest, everyone dreams of making it. Do you really think anyone at Voat is going to be like "no no, I don't want that huge amount of money... I just want to keep Voat what it is..." That'd be great and all, I just don't see it happening.

Might get a cheap laptop and play around with Linux before I make the leap on my main PC.
