Pro: Possible tax benefit; possible health benefits coverage extension

Cons: 50% of marriage end in divorce, 70% of divorces are initiated by women; men almost never get custody of their children in a divorce; alimony; child support; losing your home; false DV charges; debtor's prison; even worse: not geting divorced to avoid all that stuff and suffering in silence.

You can lead a fat to water but they're still going to drink Coke.

The Guardian craps all over the BBC documentary "Obesity: The Post Mortem" calling it cruel. No mention of the industrial food complex that contributed to the woman's early demise. submitted by damnbiker to fatpeoplehate

I agree that the fats are responsible for their own diets, but I don't think that it's the complete story. The fact is that fat parents don't teach proper diet and nutrition lessons to their children. Also, the majority of the "food" at most grocery stores is complete rubbish. When you combine ignorance with corporations willfully producing food products that are full of HFCS, which is ubiquitous; you end up with fat people. The sad fact is that, if you eat a "normal" western diet, you will end up obese.

Student who sent nude pics of Fmr. Union teacher arrested say police submitted by DiamondMask to news

I have mixed feelings about this. The first response is "that poor woman had her privacy violated". And she did, there's no denying that. There's also the "that kid is a rotten little jerk", which he almost definitely is.

Then, on the other hand, let's think about it this way: If you had a bunch of naked pictures of yourself, like the old timey, 35mm pictures or just print outs of pictures, and you were a teacher; would it be reasonable to bring those to school, even if you kept them in your purse?

This is exactly the case, but it gets muddled, because of a lack of understanding of technology. People walk around all day with all sorts of sensitive data on their cell phone and they believe that it is secure. People need to be educated about the vulnerability of their devices. People need to start thinking in terms of "if this was a physical thing, would I feel safe/confident/positive about carrying it around everywhere I go?

Phones get stolen. Phones get hacked. Leave your important or sensitive stuff at home. If you really need to walk around with stuff that is that sensitive, make sure if it encrypted and on a secure device.

Yeah...the cafeteria is right downstairs. If I wanted to eat something disgusting I'd have made the walk, but it sounds like you're speaking from experience. You like to do a bit of garbage pickin' do ya?
