For the newcomers to Voat, please refrain from using Imgur since it's affiliated with Reddit. Use an alternative like Veuwer or Slimgur. submitted by deleted to AskVoat

Personally I think that since imgur was created specifically for reddit, it's good for voat to have its own counterpart like veuwer, so that it can be fully separate from reddit.

Does anyone have some statistics regarding the "reddit blackout" yesterday? Are there any tools to actually see if there was a significant drop in usage? submitted by theoridgeinal to AskVoat

Some subreddits have daily traffic statistics, like for example here for r/news. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like there was any significant drop yesterday.

I also suggest Brandon Sanderson's books, he's awesome! And one of his books, "Warbreaker", is available for free on his website. I recommend it.

I agree. GG are supposed to be the good guys, and acting like assholes totally undermines that. There are even transsexual GG supporters, because it's meant to be a consumer revolt for anyone against shitty journalism. Nothing good comes out of intentionally misgendering people, only drama and infighting.

That sounds horrible, like something from a horror movie but in real life. I know someone with diagnosed paranoid schizophrenia, but never really asked about their experiences because I thought it could be too awkward and uncomfortable for them to talk about. I'm curious about that particular hallucination, was it only the face, or was the entire girl not real? Or is it impossible to know?

I generally consider myself moderate and I wasn't really sure what to pick, so I picked Independent.
