These kids served their country by proving that "the king is naked". They should be decorated for that.

Will you upgrade to Windows10? Why? submitted by dalek_caan to AskVoat

Windows is competing with free OS. See linux (i.e. Ubuntu) and Mac OS. I don't see a bright future along this path if Microsoft keeps trying to sell it's OS. So I expect it will provide a free version to avoid being wiped out. In the same time, they will probably try to leverage their ecosystem with commercial product. They will try for instance to reproduce Apple's app market, bing, etc. They have enough money in the bank to finance this pivot.

Apparently you failed at recognizing sarcasm. Did you consider other comments as intelligent ? This thread looks like a pissing contest.

Am I wasting my time? submitted by skivir to programming

chmike 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

There a many different levels of math knowledge. It is possible to program without knowing how to perform integral computation or partial derivatives. There is no need for such knowledge to put together a web site using a database. Some math knowledge is needed when programming 3D apps, image or sound processing aps, or things like that. But it's just a subset of maths. With internet it is more and more simpler to get the required math knowledge by yourself. So lacking math courses shouldn't be a problem. Though it would have been better to learn these in classes where you can ask questions or get help.
