We know the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere is increasing. We know that when we mix CO2 with H2O we get H2CO3 (Carbonic acid). Enough CO2 in the atmosphere, ocean pH is going to drop leading to massive fish die offs.
Or, we could not support the Middle East and try to attenuate our dependence on oil.

This guy's previous study was so controversial it has its own Wikipedia article. One point that I want to emphasize is Seralini talked about writing a book and making a documentary about the results of the study before he even submitted his paper. This type of behavior does not come across as trying to promote science.

I highly doubt that she was conservative at any moment of her life. Although you try to present us with the dichotomy of ideologies, this is a horrible comparison. I've met well kept liberal intellectuals and toothless conservatives. Following an ideology does not pigeonhole you into a particular aesthetic.
