Is it just me or does it seem like Voat's frontpage has gone stale? Links stay up for much longer than usual and not much fresh content throughout the day. This wasn't always the case. submitted by MCVoat to AskVoat

A great way to affect this is to browse new and sort by 'all'. By upvoting and leaving a comment, it can help to drive stories up a bit faster and generate a more diverse front page.

That's an excellent view on these matters. I appreciate your proactive approach.

Neat idea @SgtSama! For me, the biggest tip is to kind of hang back and visit a bit. Make an introduction...don't make a bunch of posts asking how to prevent /v/politics from becoming /r/politics. The upside of making an introduction, is that sometimes another user can give you feedback about certain subs based on your interests. However, there is always value in checking out voat.co/subverses and searching there. A few other common topics: CCP is more quickly achieved with more thorough comments and there's a few measures to limit mod authority (a maximum of modding 10 subs and public logs).
The only other tip I would offer is to be capable of being offended. One of the biggest thing that drove me from reddit was people's absolute shock that another person thought differently then them. I encourage new users to be prepared for disagreement and to be able to rationally discuss a topic :)

Oh that approach strikes me as almost too similar to that worn by the zealots. Schools need to be sensitive about religion or arellgion. In this case, the child is very young but I do think such conversations should occur...but without punitive actions from staff.

Though I find the basis for the lawsuit ridiculous, it's unfortunate that the family has lost so much and then loses even more. I do disagree with such a wide shield law for industry as well.
