Yes. A guy walked up to me and my Cocker Spaniel was laying at my feet. Something did not seem right about him. My dog tried to bite him twice when he tried to pet her so I told him to leave the dog alone. He asked some questions about my dog.
Questions from him: "Is it a female?" (yes) "Is she a Cocker?" (yes) "Is she registered?" (was but spaying cancels the registration) "She must be valuable?" (nope, just a pet and cannot breed her) "What would you do if someone stole your dog?" (I would shoot the son of a bitch) He turned white as a sheet and left quickly never to return. Back then I resembled Charles Manson with thick beard, dark eyes and an attitude.
In 15+ years she lived that man was the only person my dog ever tried to bite or actually bit.

Hypocrisy, greed and illegal immigration. I had a conversation yesterday with an older lady. She and her husband had moved to Nevada from MexiKali to escape high taxes in retirement. She was all for the illegals because, gasp, the price of a carrot will increase if we pay living wages to people working in MexiKali's Central Valley farms. She believed no self-respecting American would stoop to manual labor in the fields. I really took offense at this statement and told her that I had worked picking string beans as a kid. Besides, I told her, using the illegals in the fields for less than a living wage forced their children onto (hidden) welfare that we Americans are paying. This is economic slavery. Her response to that slavery statement? "So?" Cheap carrots was all she was concerned about; nothing about empathy for another human being in another state. Sigh. That is what American has come to: cheap carrots, hypocrisy and greed.

I have lost count of 'christians' telling me I am going to hell for being an atheist. Sincerely a pissed off atheist...
Edit: only 3 downvoats so far? Worth it just to make a point until you assholes hide it. Maybe I should violate my rule about downvoating anyone? You are not worth it.
Edit 3: 5 DV so out of sight but not mind. The hypocrisy of Christians is evident. Christians often snivel and whine about persecution but look at what these Christians are doing to an atheist who has the balls to speak out. HYPOCRISY at its finest.
Edit 2: 5 DV? C'mon, you xtians can do better.
Edit 4: If I respond with a new reply then that allows the christians to add to the -dv score. I do not delete comments because I want to show the hypocrisy of christians for persecuting other groups of people. Amazing the rabid dog response of the people who dv-ed me. Fun to poke fun at hypocritical. I still have many hundreds of up voats left. At times like these xtians are no better than moslems.

How could the Bible command a rape victim to marry her rapist? There likely is similar reasoning behind the ancient Muslim teachings. What was practical 1,000 years ago is barbaric by today's standards. So I propose a new rule for both bible and quoran: commit a rape and lose your genitals so the rapist cannot do it ever again.
This article is from Hank Hanegraaff, The Complete Bible Answer Book—Collector’s Edition (Nashville: Thomas Nelson, 2008) Get the Book
According to Mosaic Law, “If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay the girl’s father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives” (Deuteronomy 22:28–29). Isn’t that barbaric?
First, the Mosaic Law is hardly about letting a rapist off easy. The consequence for raping a woman engaged to be married was stoning (Deuteronomy 22:25). If the woman was not engaged, the rapist was spared for the sake of the woman’s security. Having lost her virginity, she would have been deemed undesirable for marriage—and in the culture of the day, a woman without a father or husband to provide for her would be subject to a life of abject poverty, destitution, and social ostracism. As such, the rapist was compelled to provide for the rape victim for as long as he lived. Thus, far from barbaric, the law was a cultural means of protection and provision.
Furthermore, there was precedent under the Mosaic Law for the victimized woman not to marry the victimizer if her father determined that she could be provided for in a more suitable manner (Exodus 22:16–17). Thus, the law was not designed to force the rape victim into an unbearable marriage, but to secure her future and that of her children.
Finally, neither then nor now, there is no perfect resolution for a woman who has been violated through the horror of rape. The modern–day solution of aborting a child conceived through rape only compounds the horror. Indeed, if we are completely satisfied by any earthly solution—even the death penalty—our moral sensibilities are seriously skewed. Ultimately, only eternity will make all wrongs right.
