I had to laugh at this. Out of all the shit calling abuse on the internet, you get banned for 'Imbecile' lol

Fuck them, let the masses continue to be ignorant and support suppression, we have alternatives and actually give a shit about things beyond our immediate buuble.

A lot of people use the example of parents posting kids pictures as annoying but as you just mentioned it atually serves a purpose rather than pulling your top down and showing your tits in a profile picture just to feel better about yourself.

Fuck you voat! You banned jailbail way quicker than reddit you FUCKERS. Are you happy? submitted by Dawn-0f-The-Dan to AskVoat

I based that off Atko's announcement and that seems quite unlikely, also healthy? That is a whole other discussion which is an extremely grey area imo.

Censorship is always wrong.

Not sure about elsewhere but in the UK we have laws against hate speech, inciting terrorism through media etc. Are you also against that? The line has to be drawn somewhere.

I'm getting pretty fucking sick with Reddit bashing Voat all the time. What about you? submitted by wollington to AskVoat

I find the 3rd top comment quite interesting: >It's really easy to be a place with zero censorship until the assholes you're marketing to actually show up.>

It makes me laugh because if i was on 'Reddit's side' then i would without even doubting upvote and think yeah that's why.... but that is obviously not the case and it would only take a minute to read the post and find out.

I was a long time lurker on reddit and would only really read comments, and I realised that i became so fucking lazy in forming opinions. If the top 3 comments were all in agreement with each other then that's what id agree with as well most of the time.

The bans were neccessary they were done to ensure the continuation and growth of the site, not to allow for advertisement. Both instances can be considered cencership but one was done for profit and the other for the continuation of community.
