Interesting read, definitely agree with the sentiment that most people don't care and will simply follow the content. I believe anyone who would leave for reasons based on values on principle has done so already. The next wave must be to get those who would come because voat is simply the better alternative.

My suggestion to voat would be to recruit. Tomorrow will be a great day for it, go and engage major content creators; appeal to their egos offer them recognition and a piece of control and do what the best businesses do and take the best talent. Voat will treat them better, voat will even pay them and to be the new and true front page of the web we need the content creators first and foremost and the rest will follow.

TLDR Most people don't care enough to act on principle, they will follow content. We should recruit content creators and tomorrow will be a good day for that. When they cross the line its only a matter of time before the rest follow.

I am and have been I'm favor of the practice of eugenics now and genetic modification in the future. However my worry is what if we miss something? What if something we view as a disease is something that can actually be beneficial to us we just can't see it yet? That ties into down the line we may lose something that may be one of our species' greatest traits, inherent diversity physically on the surface and genetic level and the resilience it gives us under stressful conditions like disease or disasters where certain traits are not conducive to survival (thinking extinction level), and on a mental and spiritual level that we may lose as a result of conformance to what we may think is the best course at the time but proves not to be down the line.

Just some of my food for thought.

TLDR I like it but it may have potential pitfalls down the line

Ps: If you ever go to gangnam I'm Korea you'll kinda get the sense of relative similarity, it feels like everyone looks the same and while they are nice to look at for a while I feel like it's like pizza cheese is good, but if you have 100 times you get tired of it no matter how good. But once you try a pepperoni it'll be like a gift from God because you haven't had it. Diversity is good like how different toppings are good. End metaphor

Makes me wonder with such widespread contempt how they maintain to be relevant. Their numbers shouldn't be growing because of the stigma and normal people should be trying to distance themselves, is it really a tiny minority with a big mouth that will die out with time? Or is it a growing trend like they try to present, in which case how the freak do they exist when they spend all of their time online? Don't they got bills to pay, and the amount of food consumption can't be cheap.

TLDR Pondering the sustainability of whales on the internet.

Traitor is a huge leap, in this country everyone is entitled to speak their mind while you are allowed to think and say he is a traitor he is also allowed to say what he believes and I don't think he should be called traitor for that, who did he betray exactly he was never on trumps side, and there are plenty of Republicans who don't like trump, that doesn't make them traitors that makes them human beings with opinions of their own, right wrong up to the beholder to decide but not sure that makes anyone a traitor.

If I wanted to stay in the US I'd move to Colorado or California because of the outdoor life they have available, money wise it depends where you want to go but I'd say a minimum of 50k unless you open to move and look for work immediately.

Internationally I would go to southeast Asia like Thailand or maybe one of the more stable Eastern European countries like the Balkans or maybe even Poland where the dollar would go far and with a few hundred thousand US dollars you could become a landlord and live a life of leisure, plus there is a lot to see and do around those areas so it'd be a while before you get bored.

Funny how they dont have money for body cams but money for these things. How often you think they'll get to use these things, how often will they find a situation to use them when it wasn't really needed, body cams would fix a lot of issues on both sides and with the money they're spending here I don't really believe in the argument that they're unaffordable.
