What would happen if American's got tired of being the world policeman and just told the rest of the world to fuck off and returned to an Isolationist foreign policy submitted by wilwilwesly to politics

Voat seems to have become a circlejerk of racism and US auto fellatio. I'm trying not to reddit but the repetitive themes are making it hard.

True, but also to bring on board a great ambassador who can network with her vast AMA contacts and get some great content on to VOAT.

No harm in taking what works, why reinvent the wheel for the positives.

What was the first adult level novel you read? submitted by Bananassassin to books

Tricky. I was a massive Hg Wells nerd when I was 13 and loved War of the Worlds, The Time Machine etc. They are adult books. But did I appreciate them at an adult level? The same applies to Animal Farm and various Shakespeare books which were mandatory at school. I certainly enjoyed revisiting HG Wells 22 years later. I'd say one of the first books I read AS an adult that stuck with me was Rendezvous with Rama by Arthur C Clarke, the suspense and adventure was breathtaking.
