Except for the downvote sniping and hints of unnatural community manipulation, I'm theoretically all for this. One of the highlights of voat for me was when the Bernie guys and Trump guys were split about evenly but we were all anti establishment and wanted nothing to do with Clinton. I'm sure a lot of folks here would love a platform to debate the left where they wouldn't get permabanned. Problem is, the left can't debate. They can call you names. They can say a buzzword. They can ban. But they straight can not debate. They're cowards. I mean, even this seems like some kind of scheming attempt to seize control. All they have to do is have some balls and show up and make their case.

I don't know anything about Firewatch, but it is absolutely not true that wildfires aren't stopped with more fires. They do that all the time. Firefighters will burn a section on purpose so that when the wildfire reaches it, there's nothing there for it to consume and continue spreading.

Well, it could be worse. She could be in the United States where women often have to sit across from a guy whose legs aren't very close together.

Yeah, this show is no doubt going to be awful and has an awful premise, but since when were voat people on board with boycotting or putting censorship pressure on people's art and using the exact same rationale. If it's the news being misleading, sure. Boycott the heck out of it. But trying to shut down someone's art is some SJW-level horseshit.

It's the same stuff SJW's try to do when they say a movie or game is sexualizing women and they try to exert social pressure to force companies into compliance. I'm all for not spending money on things you don't want. Totally fine. But trying to shame people into complying with your tastes by attempting to organize some sort of "movement" around it or whatever is horeshit. Obviously people are free to do whatever they want, but a lot of people here complain when it's the other way around and if you want to be consistent with your position on freedrom of expression, then it must include views you don't agree with. I'm not saying you're required to support it or anything like that. I'm speaking to the social shaming and activism that attempts to shut down free expression.

I don't want to defend them because clearly you're on the right side of just about everything here but just as a minor point, eating fries with a fork for real? That is a really goofy attempt at some kind of snobby affectation there.
