DEA Agent Speaks Out: We Were Told Not to Enforce Drug Laws In Rich Communities submitted by OhBlindOne to news

You are spot on. I do hate it when it is made a race war when in actuality it is class warfare. Those without don't matter and are therefore subject to prosecution. Black or white, if you have connections, money, or fame, the hammer falls much softer. Look at Bill Cosby if you believe it is race. Sure, there may be more black people in the lower class, and historically, this is due to racism, but the bigger struggle is overcoming class warfare.

Police mobilize nationally over an officer disrespected at a drive through. Why can't they mobilize nationally against grenades in baby cribs, shooting people in the back, and murdering beloved pets? submitted by VictorOscarAlphaTang to politics

I agree. This whole citizens and cops toxic relationship needs to stop. Cops need to stop talking about their "thin blue line." It's not them against us. Citizens need to be more respectful. Cops are in the position of power, and so their first step must be to get out into the community and begin fixing the relationship through service. It really is to serve and protect. If I felt safe calling cops to get my back, I would.

Cops in Japan are awesome. They. Are. Awesome. They have tiny stations (like think of 2 desks) in like every neighborhood, they are out and walk among, work along side the community. The relationship is almost like a big brother sort of thing. Mutual respect is integral. It's like a blossoming romantic relationship for crying out loud.

In the US, on the other hand, it's like 2 long distant former lovers who are a day or two away from divorce papers. We had a better relationship in the past. We can fix it, but each is one-upping the other, crescendo-ing into a giant showdown.

Boo-hoo, a kid didn't want to serve you arbys. Be an adult. Fucking laugh it off with the manager and go up to the kid and show him/her she/he was wrong. NO, don't fucking nightstick him, give him an iTunes card or a friendly wave and say, "Mate, I'm sorry you feel that way!" Show up at the arbys again and see what happens. You'll get free fucking fries most likely and prolly a high five. Fuck, a little kindness in this situation would turn it all around. Instead the cop goes back and makes a fucking huge deal about this shit. Guess what, people get fired, and now, you guessed it, we have 2 ex-employees who hate cops.

The real story here isn't that a cop was refused service. The real story here is that cops got some people fired because they weren't served with a smile. Cops and citizens alike need to fucking extend an olive branch.

I'm just a married man living vicariously through you lads. My idea of a dangerous night out is sneaking outta bed to get snag some cold pizza and watch Netflix alone. Naturally my dog always steps on my wife's face when he hears the fridge open and I'm invariably caught. Wingman my ass!

Rambo Will Take On ISIS In Rambo V: "Last Blood" submitted by deleted to movies

It's so funny how shit comes full circle. I remember my mom laughing at me, telling me how unbelievable Rambo, Under Siege, the shoot-em-up movies were... I watched TMNT with my son the other day and I was like (to myself of course) "holy shit this is unbelievably ridiculous!" So I'm not gonna hate on this shit, but it sure does help bring things into perspective.

I dunno the context but here's the comment:

Die(LOL) C'mon, speak

Quite honestly I could moderate but I don't have time as I'm coaching my son's football club as well as school starting back up (先生). I'll lurk about - till then.
