I'm a former "powermod" who resigned from some of the biggest communities during the blackout, worked with Victoria when I was an IAMA mod, and spent 5 years working in the inner mod circles. AMA submitted by solidwhetstone to MeanwhileOnReddit

Yishan sounds like a dirty lying snake. Everything he says sounds incredibly suspicious, and honestly I don't trust a word he says anymore.

The first few times he revealed "insider information," I took him at his word. But there's something seriously wrong with how he blabbers on revealing new (and sometimes contradictory) info after every single big event.

I want it to be slightly more adopted.

As it stands now, there aren't enough users. I want it to be as populated as that other site was five, six years ago.

The SJWs I hate make everything black and white. No shades of gray in the middle.

It's "all white people are privileged," and "all black women are oppressed." There's no in between. They take the most mundane bullshit and try to use it to explain their very ill-conceived notions, for example -- real college graduates on my Facebook yesterday posted about how Taylor Swift isn't using her white privilege to help the minority black woman because she was mean to Nikki Minaj when the latter complained that "Anaconda" wasn't nominated for a MTV Best Video Award, but "Bad Blood" was. This was their soapbox topic of the day/week and clearly TSwift is a white cis-gendered piece of shit garbage.

Needless to say, it's a little ridiculous. However the one thing I implore everyone to remember is this: regardless of which side you are in the "SJW Debate," know that the people on both sides are only trying help others. Sure, you might think their attempts are misguided, but they think the same about yours. Keep that in mind and normally everyone has a happy conversation :)

And if they don't have a happy conversation, then fuck them.

Article claims it's actually harder for Asians to get into college. Asians receive a -50 penalty to their Sat scores while African Americans and Hispanics receive a large bonus submitted by cheesypoofs_andpinot to news

This is why affirmative action needs to have a two pronged approach: 1) ethnicity, 2) parent's financial situation.

Wait... is this a serious comment? Or sarcastic? I really can't tell...

I know a ton of people on Voat hate Monsanto (and some of that is well placed), but they're working on modifying flying ants to become pollinators... Dunno if anyone else has seen that, but I think it's pretty damn cool!

EDIT: Guys, calm down, it's all a hoax.
