Our GDP might take a huge hit, cascading into a global meltdown. Russia and BRIC nations, might quickly fill the strategic void left by the removal of our outposts and the conventional war for resources might resume among the next biggest military powers. Without our expansive espionage efforts, the threat of a conventional nuke attack on american soil probably goes up substantially. Although, you can expect it won't come from a NATO country, would we still carefully maintain tabs on all the fissile material (arguably we can't do that even now)? We might survive, except without our foreign aid, some of the countries we currently fund, might descend into chaos further morphing the geopolitical chess game. Doesn't seem very likely to happen in my view. More likely, that on our way home, we get called back out by another crisis.
[EDIT] Since this comment got some traction. Military Industrial Complex, seems to profit our global politicians/bankers/propagandists and War related corporations at endless cost to tax payers, the environment, and the victims of War [you and I]. John Lennon famously said "War is over if you want it." Which sounds great! and seems subjective. Anyway, since we need politicians to regulate MIC, and they appear in fact 'in bed,' with the bastards(a lot of them seems like heroes too), we need a framework upgrade. Ideally computers could play a role besides hacking the ballot box, and we might have a voice to effect change, but you know that war mongers seems just as plentiful as hippies(caution! generalization!). Not only that with resource wars ratcheting up, and debt reach the ceiling every other quarter, you can expect things to continue, as we chase the money down the drain. Remember the real problem appears as 'transparency'. The governing body, has big brother all under the guise of (that's our job,) and we have a blackout...under the guise (it would carsh the system if you really knew what was happening).

Well that complicates things doesn't it? I don't believe an illegal lane change could lead to such feelings of remorse. How does one determine she committed suicide, vs. say someone else hanging her unconscious body?

You'll have better luck finding a duck that doesn't quack. Here's the reasonable conservative news in a nutshell: People shouldn't expect everything on a silver platter. In other news, the End is nigh upon us! Prep for your lives!

So, long as we can get the Iodine 131 out, we should have relatively clean ocean water after the strontium and cesium dissipate over the next 30 years. Hoorah!

Seems like hostile questioning. I understand where he wants to take this, but attacking someone doesn't seem like a good way to start off. Marijuana, seems less harmful IMO than alcohol. The danger seems to be from smoking not from the high. What a waste of tax payer money, a bunch of fucking three year olds, don't understand what bias means. This topic seems superficial compared the the disparities create by the money system. Penalties for the poor, both health and financial, and benefits for the rich. As Chris Rock said, "Money is the best lotion you can get."
