Just to play devil's advocate, if they ALL had that location data, that would mean that every camera would have a GPS receiver that tagged the image with a geolocation tag that no image editor could remove. It would be a complete clusterfuck for anybody who wanted to maintain anonymity. Otherwise, there would be a lot of photographers either forgetting to tag their images or intentionally removing those tags.
I know that's probably not what you meant, though. :)
Anonymity aside most phones already do this. My phone remembers where I was and groups them together into albums that make sense based on my area and the subjects of photos. Not that far fetched that cameras gain this tech. All the camera would have to really do is grab longi/latitude and plug Into a mapping interface once you get to the computer. Very doable with today's tech and something they've already tried with a few lower end cameras.
