I went to high school in a castle (where they filmed 10 Things I Hate About You). We had four regular floors, and two basement floors, all had various classrooms. There were two elevators in the entire place, extremely strict rules that they only be used for people with wheelchairs. Every student and every teacher had to use the stairs each day, even if it meant going up and down six flights between each class. We all managed just fine and had very few fats.

Years ago my college wanted to redo all the sidewalks in the interest of health. Fats came out of the woodwork to protest this.

We only have three floors, and you're supposed to have a pass but nobody enforces it. Fatties just kind of use it

Yeah. I'd put a keyswitch on it to prevent this non sense. Elevators like any other machine break and wear out. It would be sad for it to have issues when a truly disabled person needs to get downstairs.
