No chromebook, they are locked in devices and i don't trust google at all. That's why i don't want to run anything on top of android.
I'm not really concerned about specs. Just something that draws to a screen with touch input, and allows me to install my own OS of choice.

I believe there is a way to load Linux on to a Chromebook. I think there was a article on it in The Hacker's Manual 2015.

Not really what i'm looking for though, as i said i don't trust google with anything, and they are a bit over priced as is (for what i want it for). You can get £20-30 tablets with android etc, i just want something like this... but knowing i can replace the OS, eg; completely remove android/format/reflash with something like slackware / arch / gentoo etc.
It's just i don't see any info on devices that allow this. Assuming there isn't even such a thing as a bootloader on most of them.
