It sucks when it's a relative. My son is 4 and lives with his mom. His mom is an obeast and he is way fat . Serves me right for marrying a fat slob, I suppose, but I was an obeast then and am now reformed. I am instilling fitness culture in him and the active lifestyle so he outgrows his fatness eventually, God Willing.

Fun outdoor activities are where it is at for kids that age. He is still a little to young to probably enjoy organized sports, but getting him excited to go biking, camping, hiking, etc with you is the best way to change his mindset. But, if those aren't things you are excited about he is going to be able to sense that. So try to find something that is active that you can both enjoy. When he spends time with you, be sure to enjoy healthy foods together (and more importantly portion control). Also, be candid with your ex about his diet and lifestyle. Unless she is a terrible mother, she should care more about his health than her feelings about how the conversation makes her feel. And point that shit out if she tries to "reeee" at you.

"Unless she is a terrible mother" she is this yeah, I just bought us a pair of bikes, bought him a scooter, basketball, soccer, and baseball set. I love just running around with him and we make up all sorts of games that he can enjoy. He loves to howl like a wolf so I will say, "Wolf! Run!" and we run.

Fat really does affect the mind. As soon as the pounds start going on, that attitude kicks in and suddenly they are entitled to everything. Seeing people change so rapidly like this is scary. It's almost like they are possessed by the fat.

Your personality is nothing more than an expression of your hormones. Fat produces and alters hormones. You are literally changing your personality by getting fat or getting thin.

It makes so much sense too. Like I remember being really really irritable when I weighed more.
Now I only get moody when I haven't had enough sleep or coffee. (I really need to not depend on that cup in the morning so much but it is a biiiiiiiiiiitch)

What a fucking bitch. Full of excuses and bullshit, everything she needs handed to her and she can't be bothered. Fats are always so hateful

Happened similarly to my brother. He had some trouble with school, so hes going back to college now at 25, and hes going to a city college so hes living with us. Hes happy, hes making positive change. Hes also been getting really fit because there is a gym he goes to right after classes. One of his friends that ballooned right after college asks him for advice all the time (My brother is extremely smart just had some issues im not gonna get into) and my brother genuinely helps. He considered this guy one of his best friends, and one time my brother was giving him shit because for the 10th time that they said they were gonna work out together the other guy had an excuse. My brother literally uprooted himself and got a membership at a gym closer to where they live so they can do it. Then the guy flips out talking about how he has "more important things to do" and told my brother "how can a huge fuck up tell me how to live my life". My brother was depressed for a very long time after that, and i told the fat fuck he wasn't allowed in our house anymore.

After a bit my brother cut him off completely. Hes struggling and trying his hardest, he doesnt need some fat asshole to kick him while hes down.
