Thanks. Interestingly, a brief glance at their power system suggests that it doesn't seem to be using wind/solar to do the pumping. Which I thought was the main reason you would want a setup like this, to store the energy until night or during low winds. They basically just use the extra energy generated from fossil fuels during off peak hours.

From what I know, it mainly stores excess power at night from the nearby fission plant. The water is released during peak to minimize coal burned.
