It's cool idea but ordinary old knit fabrics are more high-tech and perhaps the first and best application of nanotechnology in human history. I would rather see a robotic assembly of knit fabric clothing custom tailored for customers but wish these guys luck. Maybe they'll hit on something completely unexpected by following their passion.

Maybe they can develop a fabric printer whose extruding heads move in 3D space like the needles of a sewing machine to build knitted chains.

One application of custom tailored clothing that currently seems viable are Croc-like shoes instantly manufactured to fit scanned digital models of your feet. Crocs are a clever innovative design and people seem to love them.

I've been waiting for exactly this tech to come along. One of my most recent project ideas should be possible with this invention.

I don't know if it is or not... once you count shipping costs it's amazing what a difference it can make.
