This is the result of fat normalisation. If 70% of the population is overweight (and half of those are obese), that's the "new normal". Thin is now rare, and "abnormal". We've tipped that balance a long time ago and this is an Invasion of the Body Snatchers sci-fi level of weird. We are simply not human anymore.

It's insane...if you're wishing for things that clearly aren't happening, why wish to still be fat?

I like to lurk on this message board and the amount of delusional women that post is insane.

What's sad is I bet half of those people are told someone was a size 10 but really they should have been wearing a 14 but they squeeze their fupas into everything. I remember when I was a size 12 at the end of HS/beginning of college and my step sister started to actually get fatter than I was. She bragged about how she was a size 12 but she was actually far larger than I was. Then I realized she always had the muffin top- a severe one - where as I was actually somewhat ashamed of myself and wore bigger jeans so I didn't look like everything I ate.
I wish I could have invited you guys to the Christmas I came home from college after losing some weight and showed you the look on her face when I tried to give her my "fat clothes" but she was too big to fit in them. ;( She cried and accused me of sewing fake tags into the jeans. As if I would take the time to do that.
