Where do I even begin on this? First, I never had a doctor tell me to lose weight. Now, most of times at the doctor was a physical before school started or to get drops for swimmer's ear. I went to the doctor twice after high school. One was to get a flu shot, I don't know why, never did before, haven't since. The next time I went to the doctor was in 2008.
When I went back, I didn't want to get on the scales, I didn't want to see the number. I never had any idea what my weight was until that day. Not because I looked, but the nurse said it out loud. I did my best to ignore, I've done that for entirely too many things. Ignore it and it will go away.
There was a time in my life, if I had heard the nurse say that number I would have been furious. This time as soon I as I heard it, the light bulb went off. It was the trigger I needed to set me on the path I need to lose the weight, be the man I wanted to be living a fit, happy life.

If you present this card you should get an automatic "5150" a.k.a. 72 hour involuntary psych hold.
Also, do they know what the word "evidence" means? Because they're using it wrong.

I think House would just hand the patient off to Cameron without telling her why and then laugh from a distance...

Can doctors who own their own clinics refuse service? Can they choose their customers? It's hard to treat someone who won't listen to the diagnosis.

I'm a physical therapist who works with worker's comp patients. I've not only discharged non-compliant patients, but when they skip appointments their employers find out too. It is selfish for fats to take up appointment slots from people who actually want to get better.

Oh I hope a patient presents me with one of these...

All the ham doctors should be forced to open their own clinics where they will ignore the whales' weight and allow them to feel comfortable while getting the wrong treatment.
Got high blood pressure? That's definitely not because you're 300 pounds overweight. Take this diuretic for the next 5 years (if you live that long).
Ulcer isn't healing on your leg? I think we need to amputate.

This is just like an ostrich burying its head in the sand. Fatties gonna fat until it kills them... To bad we can't legally speed the process.

TIL! Thank you very much for the ostrich fact, that is a cool one to know!

Oh. We can speed it up. That's what the owner of Heart Attack Grill is essentially doing. And he knows it.

it would be genius if the owner of the Heart Attack Grill also opened up a HAES general practice inside his restaurant.
