You'll never "shut it down" they'll just make it illegal. And that's worked so well for drugs... if there is a market for something it won't matter if you murder people in the streets. People will continue that that is illegal. Retards believe government can shut things down.

Yeah good luck shutting it down, if that was easy, it would have happened.

7 in 10 people don't know what the fuck they are talking about. What a surprise.

Funny that 7 in 10 listen and believe the media narrative of the spooky dark web full of drugs, hitmen, and child pornographers, but only 4 in 10 actually trust the media at all.

I know right. It's almost the perfect percentage to be highly useful for legit purposes.

"Study shows..." I love that. "Studies show" has been the best way to get false information out to common folk. Many "studies" are prepared with skewed or completely false information, and they later have to be retracted to correct them. That there is even a site called "retraction watch" tells a great deal.

Lies, damned lies, and statistics, as the saying goes.

Shutting down the dark net is litterally the same thing as making sites that arent listed by search engines illegal... Granting complete control of the data on the internet to corperations. Which have backdoors the govt has uncontested access to. Bad idea.
Freedom to communicate electronically is 50% of what makes the internet empowering, and encryption is the other half. If they take either of those, the internet becomes about as useful as facebook.

No, that's precisely the idea.

Pedophiles, drug dealers, hitmen, and terrorists, to be precise.
But then is that really an unreasonable belief?
