I like how the article completely and totally ignores the most important thing that lead up to 4chan unleashing it's wrath upon her.
After a very small group of 4channers decided to give her a hard time, she made a video SPECIFICALLY CALLING OUT 4CHAN and DARING THEM to basically come at her with everything they had. So they did. She quite literally asked for it.

*raised by parents who negglect her *beaten by an abusive father *sexually abused by older men who convince her undeveloped mind they love her at age 11 *posting on a website at an age too young for the TOS *interacts with people for the first time in her life that want nothing from her and tell her honestly what they think of her *gets mad and tells people off *more people tell her what they think of her *complains to father who rather than fix the problem, yells and screams because that is the only way he knows to fix anything. *trolls see what a toxic situation this is and get her away from bad parents, into foster care that take her off the internet because it is clear being online unsuppervised is not healthy for her ... ...
How are the "trolls" the bad guy here?

Girl who became meme
I'm imagining one of those Animorphs covers. "When you meme online, you become the meme."

She should have got off the internet instead of becoming a Tumblrina. That was probably her biggest mistake. While in foster care, she should have gotten psychiatric help for whatever the source of the attention-seeking was. If her internet fame was really going to have such a detrimental effect on her, she could have changed her name and no one would have recognized her. So, remind me; who are we blaming for all her problems exactly?

Media/dailymail: the evil Hacker 4chan.
The internet: Her family life, lack of help (in socity) for such cases.
Tumblr: White men.

I wonder if in the future, use of Tumblr will be a symptom listed in psychiatric handbooks for physicians.
