I feel that raising my desk and standing helps but only because it allows me to repeatedly flex muscles while doing so. I'll engage my butt and abs and even raise a leg sometimes. And I alternate it with sitting and taking walk breaks. A lot of people probably just stand like they're waiting in line at the bank.

We need to convert those Boston Dynamics robotic dogs into workstations that scamper off occasionally and require the user to hunt them down to continue their work. Old old school.
