Also, the entire time I worked for the USPS at a mailpiece "encoding center", there was a notice at the end of our rows that said "IF YOU SEE A MAILPIECE LIKE THIS, IMMEDIATELY PRESS HOLD/FREEZE AND NOTIFY YOUR SUPERVISOR." It was a postcard that was completely blank (no return address and addressee whited out) except for a huge smiley face and, in giant, childish letters:

If Making a Murderer has taught me anything, cops only care about their case clearance rate. I have to wonder if it's more convenient for all these families to be satisfied their loved ones drowned, rather than chasing a criminal that would be too difficult to catch.
